Chemical Peel

We know no two people are the same, and neither are their skin needs. To give you the best results possible, Ageless Aesthetics provides you with different choices. Board-certified aesthetic physician Dr. Anayo Umerah offers a variety of chemical peels to give you healthier, smoother skin. Chemical peels work by removing dead, damaged skin cells with the application of a customized solution on your skin that causes the upper layer to peel off. As your skin recovers and begins to rejuvenate and repair itself, you will see a clearer, smoother complexion. A chemical peel treatment is a noninvasive technique to make your skin bright and is used for the face, neck, and décollatage.

At your appointment at Ageless Aesthetics, we will have you in a relaxed position while Dr. Umerah administers your chemical peel. A team member will make sure your skin is cleaned prior to applying a customized solution to your treatment areas. We will massage the solution onto the skin and let it sit for a predetermined amount of time. Then, we will wash the solution off and apply a neutralizing agent. We provide light, medium, and deep chemical peels to accommodate your specific needs. Based on the strength of your chemical peel, you should expect your skin to peel and itch from several days to two or more weeks. Please remember that no matter how much your skin itches throughout the healing process, it is never good to pick the skin off as this could lead to scarring.

Light peels: This strength of peel can be performed over your lunch hour and will remove the top layer of your skin (the epidermis), giving your complexion a more radiant appearance and softer texture.

Medium-depth peels: This strength of chemical peel is for patients who have deeper damage to their skin, including deeper wrinkles and darker pigmentation problems. We suggest it be administered prior to a long weekend at home.

Deep peels: This aggressive treatment could leave your face swollen, itchy, and peeling for 2 – 3 weeks. Patients who have a deep chemical peel generally have age or dark spots, sun-damaged skin, entrenched acne scars, and/or deep scars.

CARESSINGLY SMOOTH AFTER A CHEMICAL PEEL

Even if you have never had treatments to rejuvenate your skin, board-certified aesthetic physician Dr. Anayo Umerah can help you choose the best option for your goals. After a customized chemical peel, your freshly rejuvenated skin will respond by looking healthy and caressingly smooth.
